Following their Blu-ray movie announcement, Universal has announced their first TV on Blu-ray release – the first two seasons of Heroes, which will be released on August 26.
Season one was previously released on HD DVD so we can expect the Blu-ray version to include, at least, the same extra features.
No further specs or prices are known but we’ll keep you updated.
Universal Studios announced Thursday that they will kick off the summer with their first Blu-ray release – Doomsday. Universal will then release about 40 titles in the second half of the year including The Incredible Hulk, Wanted, Hellboy II: The Golden Army, Mamma Mia and The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor.

Here’s the cover art for the Blu-ray release of Sleeping Beauty, scheduled for release on October 7th.
Twentieth Century Fox today announced that the $143 million Academy Award winning and critically-acclaimed film JUNO is available for purchase today on Blu-ray Disc, DVD and iTunes. Plus, JUNO B-SIDES: ALMOST ADOPTED SONGS a follow-up release to the JUNO soundtrack, one of the top-selling iTunes soundtracks ever, is also now available exclusively on iTunes.
Warner Home Video has announced that they will release Natural Born Killers on Blu-ray Disc on June 10, 2008. The movie will be released as a “coffee book” version where the disc is included with a 42 page book about the movie with interviews, photographs, etc. The movie will be presented in 1080p VC-1 with 5.1 Dolby TrueHD.
