Fox announced today that Best Picture winner Slumdog Millionaire is set for a March 31 release date on DVD & Blu-ray Disc. The film, which almost went straight to DVD, swept this year’s Academy Awards, taking home eight golden statues.
The release will feature tons of bonus materials including:
– Audio commentaries with director Danny Boyle and actor Dev Patel, producer Christian Colson and screenwriter Simon Beaufoy.
– Three featurettes:
“Slumdog Dreams: Danny Boyle & The Making of Slumdog Millionaire”
“From Script To Screen: Toilet Scene”
“Slumdog Cutdown”
– Deleted scenes
– Music video
– “Manjha,” an Indian short film
Both the DVD & Blu-ray version will include a second disc containing a Digital Copy of the film that can be played on your computer or portable devices.
The movie will be presented on a BD-50 dual-layer disc with 1080p/AVC MPEG-4 video (2.35:1) with both English and Hindi DTS-HD Lossless Master Audio 5.1 Surround tracks (48kHz/24-bit).
