New Line’s The Golden Compass easily takes the number 1 one spot while FOX’s 27 Dresses follows closely behind, making itself comfortable in the number two spot.
The Aliens vs. Predator sequel slices and dices its way into the #1 spot for the week ending April 20th. So hungry for gore were people this week that the Aliens vs. Predator 2-Pack also made it onto the charts.
I Am Legend continues to dominate the charts while the comedy bomb, Walk Hard, seems to have finally found an audience.
For the first time in quite a while, Blu-ray Discs have taken all 10 spots. Will Smith’s I Am Legend easily takes the number two spot, followed by Disney’s Enchanted (read our review).
 No surprises as No Country for Old Men, winner of the Best Picture Oscar, took the number one spot on the charts. Rounding out the top ten are two HD DVDs… perhaps the last time they’ll be on the list.
Blu-ray movies take 7 out of the top 10 spots for the week ending March 9. Beowulf on HD DVD overtakes last week’s number one movie, 30 Days of Night while Sean Penn’s Into the Wild HD DVD debuts at #7.
